Jennifer Milligan Swindle
Jennifer Milligan Swindle is a shareholder of the firm, concentrating her practice in the areas of real estate law, real estate development, business law, corporate law, and banking law.
Ms. Swindle often represents clients in the negotiations and preparation of contracts, including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, easement agreements, and various other documents relating to commercial transactions. She also represents clients in connection with their acquisition and sale of real estate, assets, and businesses. Ms. Swindle represents clients in connection with entity formation, including limited liability companies, limited partnerships, general partnerships and corporations. She has represented developers in connection with their development of real estate, including drafting declarations to form condominiums, formation of associations, and leasing matters. Ms. Swindle represents lending institutions and borrowers in loan transactions, including preparation and review of necessary loan documents. Ms. Swindle also represents lenders in foreclosure proceedings.
Ms. Swindle, a native of Jefferson City, Tennessee and graduated from Webb School of Knoxville in 1997. She graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001. While an undergraduate, Ms. Swindle was the Vice-President of Alpha Phi Fraternity and the Captain and co-founder of the JMU Equestrian Team. Ms. Swindle obtained her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 2004 with a double concentration in real estate and civil litigation. While in law school, Ms. Swindle was a member of Phi Alpha Delta, the Treasurer of Amnesty International and the Treasurer of the International Law Society. Ms. Swindle received an award from the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers for Excellence in Family Law. Ms. Swindle is a member of the Junior League of Knoxville, a board member of Shangri-La Therapeutic Academy of Riding (“STAR”), and a mentor for knoxAchieves. Ms. Swindle joined the firm in 2005.
