Mr. Miller is an issuing agent for Chicago Title Insurance Company, Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, First American Title Insurance Company and Old Republic Title Insurance Company. In addition, he is an approved counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Company. Mr. Miller also serves as Chief Manager of Appalachian Title Company, LLC.

In his real estate practice, Mr. Miller represents lenders, developers and title insurance companies.

Recent representative transactions include the following:

• $3,861,000.00 HUD apartment complex refinancing Knoxville, TN.
• $7,600,000.00 acquisition and development of historic properties in Knoxville, TN.
• $10,000,000 acquisition and development of industrial property in Sevier County, TN.
• $12,650,000.00 permanent loan for apartment complex in Knoxville, TN.
• $65,000,000.00 acquisition of equity interest in resort development in East Tennessee.

Prior to joining Long, Ragsdale and Waters, P.C., Mr. Miller was a partner with the firm of Walling, Miller and Brand and an officer of a local title insurance company.

Mr. Miller received a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in Economics from the University of Tennessee in 1980. He also received a Bachelor of Science in Transportation and Logistics Cum Laude in 1983. He obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the Washington College of Law at American University in 1986. While in law school, he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi.

Mr. Miller is a member of the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations. In addition, he is a member of the Tennessee and American Land Title Associations.
